A conference on "INNOVATION AS A STRATEGY" was successfully held with a wide participation at the College's Conference Center in Thesaloniki.Under the coordination of the Academic Director of ICBS Dr. Christos Malavakis, Mr. Simon Benassason, member of the Municipal Council and Head of OKThess, spoke on innovation as a strategic goal.The second speaker was Ms. Sissy Fotopoulou, Supply Chain Manager of the company OLYMPIA ELECTRONICS SA, on innovation in the product.Finally, Mr. Alexandros Giannousios, General Manager of AGROLAB RDS, spoke on innovation in services.Questions were put to the speakers and views were discussed.
The business visit of students of the College of Thessaloniki took place at the premises of the Gerovassiliou winery in Epanomi, on 9 March 2017. The students were welcomed by the owner winemaker Mr. Vangelis Gerovassiliou. He stressed that only entrepreneurship in agriculture has a future and performance. Explained how it began with a few acres a few years ago to reach today's 700 acres of the vineyard. There was a tour of the production facilities and explanations for the winemaking and bottling process of the wine, as well as a visit to the wine museum and the bottles' openers. The visit ended with tasteful wine tasting of the estate products.
ICBS Thessaloniki Business College successfully organized a conferrence entitled "THE COMPETITIVENESS OF GREEK ENTERPRISES IN FOREIGN MARKETS" on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at the conference center of the Thessaloniki College.The introductory presentation of the Georgia Zachou, College Professor on Manufacturing of International Business Operations, which presented the theoretical basis and the available models, the presentation of two real cases of companies in the region, describing the way they chose for the successful development of their sales abroad.
Mr. Giannis Sanidiotis, Deputy General Manager of the company KLEEMANN, a company that manufactures elevator systems and exports 90% of its production to more than 100 countries, made his contribution on "STRATEGY AND INTERNATIONALIZATION, THE KLEEMANN CASE".Mr. Christodoulos Rantis, Commercial Director of MILKPLAN, a company that manufactures livestock planting systems and equipment, made a presentation on "INTERNATIONALIZATION OF GREEK ENTERPRISES, THE CASE OF MILKPLAN". There followed a discussion with the coordination of Mr. Riga Tzelepoglou, President of the College.
The ICBS Business College Blood Donors Association, continuing its effort to strengthen the Bank of Blood that maintains at the St. Paul's Hospital, since 1993, held a Voluntary Blood Donation exercise on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at the premises of the college in Thessaloniki, Galini Oreokastro.
